Doctor Connors, in an attempt to regain the lost arm during the war, decides to inject himself with a serum he devised through research on lizards. However, this leads him to transform into a lizard-like humanoid with super strength, accelerated healing, and agility. He proves to be a significant enemy in Spider-Man's life, and on rare occasions, he has even been an ally of Spider-Man, who always tries to save him by returning him to his human form.
